During April, it was determined that the Visual LIFT project would receive continued and expanded funding which extends throughout 2023. On Wednesday May 18, the project participants met at Visualiseringscenter C as a kick-off for the next step, where discussions were held about what exactly this should include.

Visual LIFT, which during the first part of the project has targeted small and medium-sized companies in the industrial sector, consists of several different actors and nodes. The foundation is in Norrköping and Visualiseringscenter C, where a special lab, Wadström’s Exploranation Laboratory, has been built where companies have the opportunity to test the technologies. As the project now enters its new phase, the target group is expanded to also apply to companies in the energy, construction and food production industries.

– To begin with, it is extremely gratifying that we have been allowed to further develop the project through this funding, says Peter Westerdahl, project manager at Linköping University and Visualiseringscenter C. It was a lovely group of people from the project’s different nodes who met here at the kick-off, and with the energy and thoughts that were expressed, I am convinced that we will be able to help a significant number of companies in the future.

The purpose of Visual LIFT is to use the latest visualization technology to support companies in, for example, displaying and communicating about products, production systems and information displays.
