In this pilot study, a tool is developed and demonstrated for photorealistic visualization of highly customized products in the manufacturing industry, with concrete examples from Toyota’s truck development and development of agricultural machines at Väderstad. Today, modeling and construction processes are very time consuming in the case of far-reaching customization. The project is run by the company XperDi in collaboration with Linköping University (LiU) and the company Materialeyes. One also uses the Simplygon tool from Donya Labs, which, like XperDi and Materialeyes, is spun off from LiU.
